How to store a Climax Doll
Most damage to a doll happens not in use but in storage. This guide shows how to avoid it with a Climax ULW, Ultra or Pro body and keep it out of sight.
Updated: October 20, 2026 · CLIMAXDOLL.ORG editorial team
A full-size Climax doll spends far more time stored than in use. Pressure points, folds, heat and dark fabrics cause most of the marks, tears and deformations owners complain about, and almost all of them are avoidable. Good storage is cheap and takes about ten minutes to set up.
The right method depends on the line. A 25.7 kg ULW doll can be stored almost anywhere; a 53 kg Ultra body needs a rail and hook rated for it; a Pro hybrid has a TPE body that reacts to dyes and moisture. This guide covers all three, plus the ULW torso and the spare ROS head.
Before you put a Climax doll away
Clean and dry it completely
Wash with mild, unscented soap and lukewarm water, rinse, then dry every fold: between the fingers and toes, under the chest, at the hips and behind the knees. Moisture trapped in storage is the main cause of marks and smells.
Powder the Pro body
The TPE body of a Pro hybrid needs a light dusting of renewal powder or cornstarch-based baby powder after drying. It keeps the surface from becoming tacky. Silicone Ultra and ULW dolls need no powder.
Dress it in light fabrics or a cover
Light, undyed or well-washed clothes are fine. Avoid new dark jeans, black underwear and printed fabrics, especially on TPE: dye can migrate into the skin and is very hard to remove. A breathable cotton cover keeps off dust.
Three ways to store a full-size Climax doll
Hanging
A ceiling hook or a sturdy wardrobe rail with a neck- or shoulder-support hanging kit keeps the body free of pressure points. The doll needs an internal height of roughly its own height plus 20 cm: about 1.8 m for a 158–161 cm doll, and around 2 m for the 177 cm FD177 Zara. Check that the kit fits the EVO skeleton and that the rail and hook can carry the weight. Many owners consider hanging the best option for long periods.
Lying flat
A storage case, a bed base or the original carton with its foam works well if you do not have the height for hanging. Lay the doll on its back with arms by its sides and legs straight, and put a soft cloth between the skin and the foam. Avoid stacking anything on top.
Sitting
Fine for days, not months. A seated doll puts constant pressure on the buttocks and the backs of the thighs, and bent knees stress the skin at the joints. If the doll usually sits, change the position every few days and give it time lying flat.
Storage needs by Climax line
| Net weight | Hanging rail must carry | Best long-term option | |
|---|---|---|---|
| CLM ULW | 25.7–27.1 kg | 27 kg or more | Any: hanging, flat or seated |
| CLM Pro | 38–45 kg | 45 kg or more | Hanging or flat; keep TPE away from dyes |
| CLM Ultra | 34–53 kg | up to 53 kg | Hanging with a rated kit, or flat |
| ULW 883# torso | not published | — | Padded stand or cushion |
| ROS head | — | — | Neck stand, out of sunlight |
What to avoid
- Heat and direct sun: radiators, underfloor heating, a hot car or a sunny window sill.
- Dark or dyed fabrics touching the skin, especially on TPE bodies.
- Folded fingers, crossed legs or bent wrists held for weeks; they leave creases and stress the skeleton.
- Damp storage: never put the doll away before it is fully dry.
- Plastic bags pressed against the skin; they trap moisture. Use cotton.
- Weight on top: boxes, books or another doll stacked on a stored body.
Storing each Climax line
Ultra: plan for the weight
The heaviest Ultra body, the BBW SiR161 Tasha, weighs 53 kg. A wardrobe rail built for coats will not carry that safely; use a ceiling hook into a joist or a free-standing hanging frame rated for the load, or store her flat on a bed base.
ULW: the easiest to store
At 25.7–27.1 kg a ULW doll can hang from most solid rails, lie flat on a shelf-height bed base or sit in a chair without much effort to move. Silicone also needs no powder before storage.
Pro hybrids: protect the TPE
Dry and powder the TPE body, dress it only in light fabrics, and keep it away from rubber, other plastics and printed paper, which can transfer colour. The silicone head can be stored on the body or separately.
Torso and spare head
Store the ULW 883# Jenna torso on a padded stand or cushion, never face down, so the chest and hips keep their shape. Keep spare heads upright on a neck stand, out of sunlight to protect the painted makeup. See ROS head care.
Keeping a Climax doll discreet
At home
A lockable wardrobe, a zipped hanging bag or a bed with a lift-up storage base hides a full-size doll completely. Removing the head and storing it in a box makes a covered body far less recognisable.
When guests stay
A torso fits in a large drawer or a suitcase, which is one reason buyers in shared homes choose one. For full-size dolls, a hanging bag in a locked wardrobe is the simplest option.
Long-term storage
For storage of a month or more: clean, dry and (for TPE) powder the body; store it hanging or flat, never seated; check it every few weeks for marks or tackiness; and keep the room at normal indoor temperature, away from heat sources.
FAQ
Updated: October 20, 2026 · CLIMAXDOLL.ORG editorial team
Is it better to hang or lay a Climax doll flat?
Hanging from a rated neck-support kit avoids pressure points and is usually best for long periods. Lying flat in a case or on a bed base is a good alternative if you lack the height.
Can I store my Climax doll in its shipping box?
Yes, if the doll is fully dry, lying flat, and separated from the foam by a soft cloth. A full-size carton is about 150 cm long, so plan the space.
How much space does a hanging Climax doll need?
About the doll's height plus 20 cm: roughly 1.8 m for the 156–163 cm models and around 2 m for the 177 cm FD177 Zara.
What weight must a hanging kit hold?
At least the doll's net weight: 27 kg for ULW, 45 kg for the Pro hybrids and up to 53 kg for the heaviest Ultra body.
Can I leave clothes on a stored Pro hybrid?
Only light, well-washed fabrics. Dark or newly dyed clothes can stain TPE permanently.
How should I store the Climax ROS head?
Upright on a neck stand, out of direct sunlight, with the mouth dry. Never rest the face on a hard surface.
How do I hide a Climax doll?
Use a lockable wardrobe or a lift-up bed, store the head separately, or choose the ULW torso, which fits in a large drawer.
